Your Sober Weekend Plans! Fun Sober Activities

Having trouble thinking of something fun to do with your buddies this weekend? We’ve got you covered!

There are a ton of fun things to do in Chicago without the need for a drink or drug—many of which you may not have even considered! Grab a few sober friends and have a blast enjoying all the city has to offer with these outstanding weekend activities!

WhirleyBall

Have you ever played WhirleyBall? If not, you’re in for a treat! WhirleyBall is essentially what happens when you mix bumper cars, lacrosse, basketball, and more!

If you check out the WhirleyBall location in Chicago (WhirlyBall | Chicago, IL) you’ll find there is also bowling, laser tag, and more! Grab a soda, snacks, or a full meal and play a fun and exciting game of WhirleyBall with your besties!

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality (VR) is a ton of fun…but most people haven’t had the chance to try it. If you’ve wanted to play some VR and don’t have a headset, you’re in luck! There are some great VR places in the city where you can bring your buds and dive into the virtual world.

Redline VR (Redline VR | Chicago's #1 Immersive Entertainment Venue) even has a non-alcoholic drink menu! Check out one of their engaging VR experiences (including a VR escape room!). Thank me later!

Outdoor Sports

There are so many fun outdoor sports to enjoy in Chicago, especially during the warmer months. Hit the lake and play some volleyball, visit one of the tennis courts or basketball courts in Chicago, shoot some arrows at the archery range, or simply have a nice picnic on the beach. Being outside in Chicago is where it’s at!

Food Festivals

We literally have two full blog posts about upcoming food festivals in 2023 that you definitely should check out! If you are reading this past 2023, we’re sure to have an updated blog for 2024.

Grab a bite to eat at Taco Fest, Taste of Chicago, Greek Fest, or one of the other fun food festivals around the city.
